These battery-free wall transmitters with energy harvesting are designed for wireless control of scenes, colours or dim levels within Casambi systems. Communication takes place via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) in the 2.402–2.48 GHz frequency range, with an indoor signal range of approximately 10 metres. Available in 2- or 4-channel versions.
The radio signal is powered entirely by kinetic energy, generated by pressing the button. This eliminates the need for batteries and makes the system completely maintenance-free and sustainable. The expected service life is approximately 50,000 activations.
The transmitters are supplied with a cover frame but are also compatible with standard 55 × 55 mm systems from manufacturers such as Gira, Jung, Merten and Berker. This allows them to be seamlessly integrated into existing switch ranges. Initial configuration is carried out using a smartphone or tablet via NFC, after which the device can be added to the Casambi network. For optimum performance, the 'Balanced' network mode is recommended.
Thanks to their slim design, measuring only 14 mm thick, these transmitters are both aesthetically and functionally suited for use in residential spaces, offices and hotels.
