These battery-free wall transmitters with energy harvesting are designed for wireless control of scenes, colours or dim levels within Casambi systems. Communication takes place via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) in the 2.402–2.48 GHz frequency range, with an indoor signal range of approximately 10 metres. Available in 2- or 4-channel versions.
The radio signal is powered entirely by kinetic energy, generated by pressing the button. This eliminates the need for batteries and makes the system completely maintenance-free and sustainable. The expected service life is approximately 50,000 activations.
The transmitters come with a matching Opus 55 Inform frame by Jäger Direkt, but are also compatible with standard 55 × 55 mm systems from manufacturers such as Gira, Jung, Merten and Berker. This ensures easy integration into existing switch series. Initial programming is done via smartphone or tablet using NFC, after which the transmitter can be added to the Casambi network. For optimal performance, the network mode should be set to “Balanced.”
Thanks to their slim design, measuring only 14 mm thick, these transmitters are both aesthetically and functionally suited for use in residential spaces, offices and hotels.
